Hi I’m Martin, an award-winning London Blue Badge Tourist Guide.
I have worked with numerous tour operators, destination management organisations and individual agencies to help them make sure their guests are well looked after.
As the winner of the 2022 combined award for the walking tour and guided tours of Westminster Abbey, Tower of London and St Paul’s I am ready and keen to take your guests around London.
I absolutely love introducing people to this amazing city: showing new visitors the great highlights or surprising previous visitors with London’s hidden secrets.
In my previous life I was a secondary school teacher for almost 30 years and a Head teacher for 10 of those years. Therefore I also combine my expert knowledge of the culture, history, geography and economics of London with extensive experience of leadership and managing people.
I am available for any projects and events requiring a specialist award-winning Blue Badge Guide. I specialise in history, art (including Street Art), music, literature, Second World War, sport, food and drink.
I specialise in walking tours of individual areas of London.
These can include specific areas: Westminster, The City, St James, Mayfair, Bloomsbury, Fleet St, Southwark/Bankside, Notting Hill, Soho, Marylebone, Chelsea, Spitalfields/Shoreditch, Greenwich, Wimbledon (including the Tennis Club) and more.

We can take a theme and plan a whole day out around it. I am equally at home guiding guests on public transport, boats, coaches, bicycles or private cars.
Art History is one of my passions and working as one of a team of guides, I currently lead Public Tours at the National Gallery. Tate Britain, Tate Modern, Victoria & Albert Museum, British Museum, The Wallace Collection are all places where I am very comfortable guiding.
The Second World War is also one of my favourite subjects and I very much enjoy guiding in the Imperial War Museums and the Churchill War Rooms.
Having won the 2022 award for the combined Westminster Abbey, Tower of London and St Paul’s site visits, I am keen to take your guests on guided tours of these fascinating places. And outside London, I can take your guests inside Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, Bath, Oxford, Stratford-on-Avon and many more.
I have experience of planning, leading and managing staff events. I love to organise corporate staff wellbeing and wellness walks in real life involving some outdoor walking blended with unusual, quirky and fun tales of London.
